Quickstart
From wallet connection to your first paid capture. Record, submit to a bounty and receive the reward.
Everything begins at , where you choose between two paths: Capture data if you are contributing, or Buy data if your organization is commissioning captures.
Choosing Capture data launches the capture app at . Any browser will run it and there is nothing to install. Android users can alternatively grab it from Google Play; both versions are the same app.
Choosing Buy data takes you to data.utopiadata.net, the marketplace where bounties get posted and fulfilled.
Connect your wallet
The wallet is the whole sign-in. No email address, no password, nothing else to keep track of.
Top up a little gas if you intend to upload
Gas is required for uploading captures and nothing else. Looking through open bounties costs nothing.
Choose a bounty
On data.utopiadata.net, check what each bounty is asking for, the location it covers and its remaining time.
Record and submit
Capture the location following the capture guidance and get your clip in before the deadline.
Collect the reward
Once the requester accepts your submission, the payout from Utopia happens automatically.
Just browsing for now
Every open bounty on data.utopiadata.net is visible without a wallet connected. The wallet only becomes necessary at the point of uploading.
